9 Hole Golf Scramble Registration Form
Scramble Teams will consist of 4 players with no more than one player who is deemed an “A” player. (Handicap of 10 or less). If there are teams which consist of only 3 members, each team member will take turns hitting two balls per hole. The order shall be determined by the position they are listed on the scorecard...this order should be maintained throughout the round.
Option to Add a "Designated Team Putter"
This year we have a new option where each team can add one person (for just $15) who only putts on each hole. The $15 fee does not cover an additional cart and designated putters are urged to ride or walk along with their teammates. Please note, under this format the "designated team putter" does not hit any golf balls on the fairway and only participates in putting when the ball is on the green. At each hole one team member, except the "designated team putter", will sit out from the putting process.
On every hole each member of the team shall hit a tee shot. The team then selects one of the tee shots from which to play. All members of the team shall then hit from that position. This procedure is repeated until the ball is holed. Each team member’s tee shot must be used once. Penalty for breach of this rule: one stroke for each tee shot not used. If a team has a "designated team putter" this person does not tee off or participate in hitting balls on the fairway.
Each team member may place his/her ball within one club-length of the selected shot, but no closer to the hole. If the shot selected is played from a hazard or the rough, it must remain in the hazard or rough no nearer the hole. On the putting surface, a team member may place his ball within one putter head length from the ball mark, but no closer to the hole.
Mulligans - $10 each:
Players may purchase one mulligan. Players must fill out their mulligan slip and return with the team scorecard indicating which holes mulligans were used.
Men will play from the White Tees and Ladies will play from the Red Tees.
Handicaps for each team will be calculated at 10% of the total team handicap. The team score will be determined by subtracting the team handicap from the gross score. (If a player does not have a handicap, please include the player’s average score for 18 holes. – The committee will calculate a respective handicap to use for this event).
In the case of a tie, a playoff will be conducted by matching scorecards, starting at the last hole and continuing backwards until there is a winner.
